New Kindle Fire tablets revealed

After Microsoft revealed their MS Surface tablet today Amazon announced their trio of new Kindle Fire tablets.

The price range starts at $139 for their lower end Kindle Fire HD which sports a 7-inch HD display with 216 PPI and a resolution of 1280x800. Fire HD also has a fast 1.5GHz Dual-core processor. As quoted by Amazon it has a battery life of 10 hours with mixed use. Fire HD is available at two storage capacities the 8 GB at $139 and 16 GB at $169. Both the model don't support Wifi.



The other Kindle Fire is the HDX or the Beyond HD . This one is a bit costlier and is available in 2 sizes, 7-inch and 8.9-inch. Both the model have inbuilt Wifi and 4G options are also available.

The Fire HDX 7-inch Tablet has a resolution of 1920x1200 and high pixel density of 323 PPI. And comes with fastest processor on a 7-inch tablet , that is it has 2.2GHz quad core processor with 2 GB RAM for faster processing and multi-tasking. Amazon also introduced a Mayday button on their tablet which gives users on-device tech support which lets you connect for free to an Amazon expert 24x7, 365 days a year.It also has a Front-facing HD camera.This device has a starting price of $229 for the 16 GB model. It is also available in 32 GB at $269 and 64 GB at $309. The 4G model at 16 GB is priced at $329, 32 GB at $369 and 64 GB at $409.


The Fire HDX 8.9-inch Tablet supports a screen resolution of 2560x1600 and pixel density of 339 PPI. It comes with an ultra fast processor of 2.2GHz,2 GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU for fast, fluid gaming and video. This device also has Mayday button on it.This device has Front-facing HD camera with 8 MP rear-facing camera which lets you capture your favorite moments. This has a starting price of $379 for 16 GB model, $429 for 32 GB model and $479 for 64 GB model. The 4G model at 16 GB is priced at $479, 32 GB at $529 and 64 GB at $579.
