Nokia finally on Wednesday announced the release of Lumia 525 , a low budget Windows 8 phone. The phone was expected since a long time and has finally arrived.
It boasts the similar design of its predecessor. This one has improved RAM of 1GB from the 512MB of the Lumia 520. This is the most looked up feature in the phone and was needed to as many apps in the Windows Phone Store are not compatible with 512MB RAM. Other specifications are similar to that of the Lumia 520.
As said it has a 1GB RAM with a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. It comes with internal storage of 8GB and is expandable to 64GB with microSD card. The camera is not upgraded, and is the same 5 Megapixel and without flash or front facing camera. The battery is 1430 mAh giving about talktime of 17 hours and 336 hours of standby time.
The price would be the same as was of the Lumia 520, around $150 (Rs.10,000)
