Google announced their new Chromebook

There were set rumors for the announcement of new Chromebook by Google. They finally announced it on Tuesday.



Google announced it this morning in an even the new laptop in the series which is the HP Chromebook 11. It is launched at the cheapest price than any other in the Chromebook series at the cost of $279 on the official website. As the name suggests it has an 11-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel with IPS display panel with 176 viewing angle. It runs on the Samsung's dual core Exynos processor which is usually used in smartphones. They are also giving 100GB of free Google Drive storage for 2 years with the device with this they give 60-day trial to use whole of the Google Play Music All Access.

The design of the device is quite attractive. It has a magnesium chassis built for a strong built and has no visible screws,vents or speakers which makes it look cleaner. It has a small built, weighs about 1.04kg and is 0.69 inches thin. It is available in 6 different colors including black and white.


It comes equipped with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB SSD. They promise a battery backup of about 6 hours. As promised the device can boot up within 10 seconds. It also has the new Bluetooth 4.0 with WiFi at dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n equipped in it. The device can be charged via the normal Micros USB which is used by other Smartphones. It has a combined headphone/microphone jack which is again used by other Smartphones but for a laptop its a bit disappointing. It comes with two USB 2.0 port.

Google is yet to announce the price for 3G and 4G/LTE model. It will be having a Micro-SIM slot for the function.
