Sony launched a new phone in their Xperia series which has been going on for a while now. They launched the Dual-sim phone of their Xperia M. The company has finally come into the Indian market with an entry level phone.
The phone launch was announced in June this year and now it has launched at a price tag of Rs. 14490 ($220) which can be Pre-Ordered from Flipkart at the same rate.
The phone has a 4-inch large screen with a resolution of 854x480 and PPI 245 with Adreno 305 GPU for gaming and smooth videos. It has a 1GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor and equipped with 1 GB RAM. The device has Android 4.1 (Jellybean) operating system.It comes in 4 colors namely Black,White and Purple.
The phone comes with one primary camera of 5 Mega pixels with LED flash camera is capable of taking HD videos, and a 0.3 Mega pixel front facing secondary camera which lets you do video calling.
Also this phone supports the NFC feature or the Near Field Communication technology which by Sony is called One-touch function. As just one touch is needed to share videos,pictures,music,files etc to another device like Television or Speakers. It has 4GB internal storage and is expandable to 32GB via MicroSD card.
Xperia M inspires its design from Xperia Z phone and has a 1,750 mAh battery which can work for 10 hours talk time and 500 hours on standby in 2G network. Phone will start shipping by the end of November.
